Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays benefit both our patients and doctor in many ways. For Dr. Cordes, they offer a sharper image that helps with more accurate and timely diagnosis. For patients, they emit 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays used in the past. Digital x-rays also require no chemicals for development, which means they are also safer for our environment.

The images are immediately available on the television monitors in our treatment rooms, so Dr. Cordes will be able to discuss any pertinent treatment procedures needed with patients right away.

3-D Cone Beam

The 3-D Cone Beam is a type of digital imaging that gives Dr. Cordes a 3-D view of your jaw, teeth, roots and joints.

3-D x-rays help with planning ahead of time for implant placement surgeries, which results in better accuracy and precision. It can also help other procedures such as root canal therapy go more smoothly.

Nitrous Oxide

Dr. Cordes offers nitrous oxide as an option for patients who might need additional help getting through their dental procedures due to anxiety, special needs, or a bad gag reflex. It can be helpful for patients who need multiple treatment procedures completed at one time. Nitrous is inhaled through a small mask worn during your treatment, and it works right away to help you feel relaxed, and even euphoric in some cases, which is why it's also referred to as laughing gas.

It's safe for both adults and children, and can be used during most types of procedures. Nitrous also leaves your system when the mask is removed, so it allows you to return to your normal daily activities after your treatment with no complications.
